The Matter of Elbe

The Matter of Elbe is a roleplaying game with a foundation built upon the 1970s and 80s era of gaming, with substantial influence from the late 90s and early 2000s.  It is meant to be run procedurally with a lighter ruleset that incorporates player decisions about their characters and concepts.  It actively encourages you to blur the lines between classes where you need and to drill down to your   Furthermore, you take a role in the story of the living world of Arde, upon which Elbe is the first continent to be explored.

This is the Ashcan version, which has minimal art,  editing, and layout.  It's essentially a manuscript ported into PDF format.  There are some hyperlinks in the text, but this will be built out further as we go along.
